JK Physio (Orpington) offers Pilates classes and 1 to 1 sessions led by Pilates qualified Physiotherapists with APPI accreditation (Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute). Pilates is a form of exercise for conditioning your ‘core’. By offering this popular form of exercise, we are able to help your body ‘retrain’ its deep abdominal and spinal muscles and so help alleviate aches and pains.
All exercises are tailored to your specific needs and this allows you to attend a class even with an ongoing injury. All clients attending a class will first be seen on a 1 to 1 basis for a thorough assessment and for detailed instruction on the core principals of Pilates to ensure the correct technique and to allow the Physio to gain a detailed understanding of your capabilities. Pilates is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Our classes are kept small to ensure the Physio can check regularly and prevent any bad habits forming, and modify exercises for individuals as required. As such our Pilates classes are ideal for clients suffering with back pain and other Musculoskeletal conditions, and for those hoping to prevent or rehabilitate back and other injuries.
