Acupuncture

The use of very fine needles, mostly for pain relief and muscle release.

Only those Physiotherapists at JKPhysio who have gained accreditation with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) are sufficiently trained to use Acupuncture as a complimentary skill in their treatment.  We follow strict guidelines to ensure your safety at all times.

Pilates

We run a personally tailored Physiotherapy lead Pilates service here at JK Physio.

The Physiotherapists are APPI trained (The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Association) and as such offer highly qualified guidance and instruction. They will be able to tailor and modify as necessary any exercises to suit your body and its needs.

We see everyone for a 1 to 1 session at the Practice first. This allows time for the Physiotherapist to assess your physical ability and your needs, as well as a good understanding of your ‘aches and pains’ and what you want to achieve form attending our classes. You will then be allocated, where possible, to the best class to meet your needs.

Our classes are run locally off site and are kept small to allow quality time with the Physiotherapist.

The classes will run in 6 weeks blocks to ensure the sessions are pitched at the right level for everyone attending. Where possible the Physiotherapist will give you instruction on how to continue and you will be able to attend consecutive groups of classes. For more information click here.
