Pilates Qualified Physiotherapist-led Pilates Classes

Pilates Qualified Physiotherapist-led Classes
at JK Physio

JK Physio (Orpington) at The Locksbottom Clinic is now offering specialist Pilates Classes run by qualified Physiotherapists that have APPI (Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute) training. As such our Pilates Classes are ideal for clients suffering with back pain and other Musculoskeletal conditions, and for those hoping to prevent or rehabilitate back and other injuries.

Pilates is a form of exercise for conditioning your ‘core’. By offering this popular form of exercise, we are able to help your body ‘retrain’ its deep abdominal and spinal muscles and so help alleviate aches and pains.

Pilates is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Our Pilates qualified Physiotherapists will see you for a 1 to 1 session initially, before joining a class. This will allow for a thorough assessment of your ability and for an understanding of your musculoskeletal strengths and weaknesses. Most importantly too, this will allow the Physiotherapist time to take you through the fundamentals of Pilates tailored specifically to your needs, so preparing you for joining a class. We will then endeavor to allocate you to a Pilates class with those of a similar standard where possible.

About Our Classes

Our Pilates Classes are held at St Giles Church in Farnborough Village and the 1 to 1 sessions and 2 to 1 classes are held at our Clinic in Locksbottom.
In the meantime, if you would like to know more please contact JK Physio on 01689 889909.

JK Physio continues to offer a personally tailored Physiotherapy service, and in addition to our Pilates Classes, we have a range of treatments, including sports massage, acupuncture and maniplulation. To find out how we can best help you, please do contact us.

“Very helpful – particularly the exercise videos. I’m enjoying the class very much.” Pilates Class Attendee

“I’ve had lots of benefits since attending your Pilates classes – especially after a couple of Monday mornings that were dire until after the class. Work wise Sundays can be a difficult day at times and Pilates unwinds the stiffness all over. I sure am loving the ease with which my body moves after a class – and never any soreness next day. My shoulder and back usually alternate in hurting – but both were fine yesterday and today. You take the class well!” Margaret, Pilates Class Attendee
